When it comes to testing substances, you want results you can trust. That starts with using kits and strips that are in optimal condition. Here's what you need to know about the shelf life and best storage practices for our Test Kits and Test Strips:
Test Kits:
Although our bottles are treated with a special manufacturing process called fluorination to extend their durability, we don't recommend using any test kit older than a year. The effectiveness can vary based on storage.
Best Practices: For longevity, keep the bottles tightly sealed, upright, and stored in a refrigerator or freezer.
Extreme Conditions: Hot environments like a car in the sun can significantly shorten the test kit's lifespan, sometimes down to just a few days or weeks.
Test Strips:
Your test strips have a simpler life. They should last for two years from the time they arrive. Just make it a habit to check the date on the packet to ensure you're getting reliable results.
